These cookies melt in your mouth!

Makes 2 1/2 dozen


2 cups sugar

1/2 cup milk

1/2 cup cocoa

1/2 cup butter

dash of salt

1 cup peanut butter

3 cups oats

First, measure the peanut butter and oats and set aside.

In a large pot, combine the sugar, milk cocoa, butter, and salt.

Cook over medium heat, stirring occasionally until the butter is melted.

(Don’t let it bubble until the butter is melted, or the cookies will be crumbly.)

Bring to a boil and cover for 30 seconds.

Remove the cover and bring to a boil that can’t be stirred down for 1 minute.

Remove from heat and stir in peanut butter.

Stir in oats.

Drop by teaspoonfuls onto parchment paper and let set.
