Coffee Mousse

This is a rich dessert that I made to satisfy my mom’s chocolate and coffee craving.

Serves 6

Ingredients:

9 oz chocolate

scant cup warm strong coffee

vanilla extract, to taste

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

1 cup heavy cream

chocolate pieces, to serve (optional)

First, melt the chocolate.

Add the warm coffee, and stir to a smooth cream.

Set aside to cool.

In a separate bowl, whip the heavy cream with the vanilla extract and sugar until soft peaks form.

Gently fold the whipped cream into the cooled chocolate cream and beat the whole thing until soft peaks form.

Divide between 6 glasses or fill a large bowl.

Refrigerate for 15 minutes, or until you are ready to serve it.

Decorate with chocolate pieces. (optional)
